Updated after Envato's July 2026 fee change

CodeCanyon Alternative for Unity Game Source Code

Since 1 July 2026 every Envato Market author, exclusive or not, keeps 50% of the item price. If you sell Unity game templates or editor tools, here is how HyperCodeStore compares, with the sources, so you can decide whether to list here as well.

    What changed at Envato

Envato announced in May 2026, and applied from 1 July 2026, a flat author fee across Envato Market: every author now receives 50% of the item price component of the list price. The exclusive and non-exclusive author programmes were merged into one set of terms at the same time.

For authors who were exclusive, that is a cut: the old sliding scale let established exclusive authors keep as much as 87.5% of the item price. For non-exclusive authors it is a small rise, from 45% to 50%. Either way, the ceiling is now 50%.

The upside of the same change is that exclusivity no longer exists, so listing the same Unity project on a second marketplace no longer costs you anything on CodeCanyon.

    Why a Unity-only marketplace

    70% from the first sale

Rising to 85% with sales volume. No listing fee.

Every visitor is a Unity developer

A hypercasual template or an editor tool is not one of ten thousand PHP scripts.

    Your price, your discounts

No platform-wide sales you did not opt into; the listing price is what the buyer pays.

    Our honest recommendation

CodeCanyon still has far more traffic than we do. If a listing is already earning there, keep it there. Since exclusivity is gone, add the same package here and let the two channels run side by side; you keep 20 to 35 points more on every sale that comes through HyperCodeStore.

What we ask in return is on the review process page: a package that opens in the stated Unity version, runs, and ships with documentation.

    • List the same project on both; no exclusivity on either side
    • Set your own price here; there is no separate buyer fee
